Coopered Mantle Clock Case: Coopered white oak with walnut face and back plate. Clock face is a book-matched piece of walnut with strips of white oak marking the 12, 3, 6, and 9 hours; inlaid wedges of white oak mark the other hours. Back plate is a book-matched piece of walnut with levers that turn tabs on the inside for locking the plate in place, and with a holder for the winding key. The handle of the winding key has been faced with walnut. The pendulum swings through slots in the stand. Danish oil and wax finish. Hermle 131-080 spring-driven, pendulum-regulated movement. The clock is about 13" (33 cm) tall; the ruler is 6" (15 cm).
