I call this small side table with a drawer my "Century Table", because there are roughly 100 pieces in it, and it took me on the order of 100 days to build. It is made of maple and cherry. The fretwork is cherry, which is set into the maple aprons and drawer front, and the chevrons are maple inlaid in the cherry aprons and rails. The table top is a solid panel of maple set in a cherry frame. The shelf is a maple-veneer plywood. The table is finished with varnish and wax, except the inside of the drawer, which is finished in shellac. The table top measures approximately 19" (49 cm) by 14" (36 cm) and is 25" (63.5 cm) high (the ruler is 18" long).
